While there is some ambiguity between Xen: the border world and Xen: the chapter, the fact that I have referred to them separately should clear it up - I meant the chapter.
HALF LIFE BLUE SHIFT XEN RETURN 6 HOW TO
How to tell someone is extremely butthurt about something: you can see it clouding their mind.Ī few small facts that could have stopped your pointless blind charge if you weren't too butthurt to notice them: games - Pseudo-open world and immersive, different take on shooters, but mileage may vary accoridng to personal preferences. Shit story and kinda short, but the combat is excellent. But the first game is a fun sandboxy shooter.į.E.A.R. Afterwards, the series took a Ubisoft shit-dive and became some kind of open world checklist completer. Fun levels with puzzles and obstacles, can play as a shooter or go full on Jedi with lightsaber and force powers, very fun lightsaber combat.īlack Mesa (Half-Life 1), Half Life 2 - Very linear, and shooting ain't that great, but very immersive also and well designed.įar Cry 1 - Fun game with beautiful backdrops and challenging combat.

Game was so good, US Army licensed the engine and its descendants for training.ĭark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy - Excellent shooters+. You get to engage in realistic firefights (where hitting shit is actually difficult), traverse huge islands in a sandboxy manner, operate vehicles from trucks and tanks to helicopters and boats and planes, play as spec ops, command squads, etc. Operation Flashpoint - An amazing pseudo-open world military sim which is by far the most realistic shooter ever created that still features an actual campaign with story and everything (fuck you ARMA!). Not the best thing ever and if I were modding the gameplay I'd go a lot further (e.g remove/alter shield belt, fix dumb AI), but it is cool nonetheless. Mostly graphics-focused, but also some minor gameplay changes too. There was a few things I didn't agree with but overall it's pretty impressive. Alternatively, if you have played quake before and not feeling another run of the base game, play Arcane Dimensions. I mention it specifically because it improves weapon feedback considerably. I've not played this one, but it looks good. But it was a minor faithful upgrade at the time. I played this one a few years back and it has had many updates since. It's straight AI, weaponry and effects upgrades. This has none of the controversial or lame shit of normal Brutal Doom.
HALF LIFE BLUE SHIFT XEN RETURN 6 MOD
Decent mod though it could use a tad more polish. Better mechanics (kick is actually good now), weapons more punchy, AI more diverse.
